The Victory Bond Flying Circus was formed in 1919. The Circus consisted of three groups of aircraft that toured the US, putting on air shows to promote the sale of Liberty Bonds to help pay off the national debt incurred during World War One. The flying Circus was made up of WW1 veteran pilots. It was the world’s first officially sanctioned military aerial team.
