Julien Xavier Chabert (1792-1859), Also known as Ivan Ivanitz Chabert, he performed public feats of daring, skill and deception involving fire, hot objects and poisons. He was billed both as ‘the only Really Incombustible Phenomenon’ and ‘the Fire King’. He performed in France and later in London. In the 1830s he moved to the USA where he worked as a pharmacist.
